jut to explain their appearences :

since they were born with magic, they wouldn't look like Daenerys's bological children, I thought it would be interesting if they looked like memories aka almost clones of the people they were named  after.So Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal's human forms look like Drogo, Viserys and Rhaegar,except for the eye color and Viserion's hair is more cream than silver.

I think that gives a reason for drogon's favoritism, I mean, one looks like the husband you loved, one looks like the brother that raised you but abused you and the other looks like someone you did not even met.
